Real World Delivered to the Classroom. Nepris virtually connects you with teachers and students so that you can share your knowledge and skills with learners. Here are the ways we make it happen:
- Accept a Request from a teacher. Educators ask for an industry person to virtually speak with their class about a particular topic (usually for 20-60 minutes). We make matches based on user profiles, and will email you when we've found a good match. There's no obligation to accept every Request (we know you're busy!) but when you're interested you can sign up via the email. Topics might include discussing your career, sharing how a curriculum topic applies to your job, providing feedback for student presentations, etc. Note that you can also proactively find Requests by browsing volunteer opportunities here.
- Host an industry Chat. You can also host live, interactive sessions for multiple classrooms to join and we will recruit teachers to participate. Industry Chats can be offered throughout the year and we have templates available to make it super fast to set up. Chats are sometimes aligned to themes (e.g. Hour of Code, Black History Month, Executive Leadership, etc.). So if you desire to reach the K12 audience (or a subset) with a live session, we'll host and promote the session for you. You can set yours up here.
- View Videos. Get presentation ideas and see what else is happening in your field by exploring our video library of past sessions. You can access it here.
- Use Career Explorer. This feature offers quick career information and statistics plus a side-by-side job comparison tool. You can access it here.
