There are two ways a teacher can get a Class Code to share with students and allow them to access the Video Library on their own. If students have been imported and added to classes in "My Classes", a class code will be automatically generated for your classes. If students have created their own accounts by signing up, a teacher can generate a class code in "Subsciption" without using "My Classes". Teachers will still be able to generate their own Class Code even if they have already created classes in "My Classes".
Class Codes by Using "My Classes"
Students who have established a profile can explore videos on their own as long as their teacher has a Platinum Subscription. The teacher just needs to retrieve a code to share with their students, who then enter it when they want to start watching videos.
In the upper right hand corner, go to your Account Settings:
Once in your Account Settings, click on My Classes where you will find a list of all your classes. Each class listed will have a Class Code you can share with students to allow them to access the Video Library independently. You must have an active Platinum Plan to create or access a Class Code for your students.
When students log in, they will have an option at the top of their Dashboard to Unlock Access to Videos. This option will disappear once students enter the Class Code and have access to the Video Library.
The student will be prompted to enter the code. After entering the code, they will have access to Videos for as long as you have your subscription.
Generating a Class Code without using "My Classes"
If you have opted to have students create their own accounts by signing up individually, you can still generate a Class Code to allow students to access the Video Library independently.
In the upper right-hand corner, click your profile picture and select Account Settings, then Subscription in the left side menu.
Once you are on your Subscription page, scroll down to the Class Code section:
Give your class a title and click "Get Class Code". This will generate a code for this class that can be shared with students to access the Video Library. There is no limit to how many students can use a single Class Code.
